December 10, 2013 Crush
Crush is a new pizza place that opened up down on State Street. Crush is a Nashua, NH based company and they took over the space that was formerly Upper Crust.
At Crush, you can choose from one of their specialty pizzas or you can create your own from a number of fresh ingredients. (Sorry, no slices) They stretch the dough and make the personal sized pizza right in front of you.
There are a few seats in the restaurant, and you should really try and eat it hot out of the oven, that’s how it tastes best!
The wood burning ovens can get up to 1000 degrees inside and they cook your pizza in about 60-90 seconds. Pretty amazing. Your pizza comes out bubbling and smoking!
I tried the Toscano, fire roasted garlic cream sauce, pan seared field mushrooms fresh mozzarella, fresh rosemary, pecorino romano, fresh oregano, with a drizzle of truffle oil.($10.95) Man oh man was this delicious. They are light on the cheese and the crust is crisp on the outside but has a good chew to it. The herbs definitely kick the pizza up a notch and who doesn’t love a drizzle of truffle oil right as it’s pulled out of the oven – magical! Can’t wait to try some of their other pizzas and their gelato.
