A Little Bit About a Lot of Things

A lifestyle blog with a focus on my food adventures

IMG_3010Next stop fun city? Hardly. We took the monorail to the last stop and then walked a few blocks through a questionable area to the Stratosphere hotel.

IMG_3013There are a bunch of different rides you can go on as well as just hang out and see the 360 degree views of Vegas.

Tower admission only is $18, tower admission with one ride $23. The line to get tickets in the lobby was exceptionally slow.

The monorail is great if you are going from one far end to another, if you’re going one stop, I’m not sure it’s worth it. The monorail stations are at the back of the hotels, so you have to walk all the way through the hotels to get to the station – atĀ  that point, it may have been quicker to hoof it. The prices are: $5 one way ride, $12 one day pass. Other options include 2 to 7 day passes.

IMG_3021The monorail has no drivers and comes fairly quickly, most times it was a 5-7 minute wait. It may be a good alternative to taking a taxi, as in Vegas, if you use your credit card, they charge you a $3 fee.
