A Little Bit About a Lot of Things

A lifestyle blog with a focus on my food adventures

Some of my favorite places to grab a bite just happen to be next to gas stations. I’ve been going to Country Pizza for over 10 years now. I used to go all the time in high school and still go back from time to time even though I now live in the city (I have’t found a calzone in the city that comes close). The owner is there most every day-and still remembers me (and my order) even after all these years.

Country Pizza is located in Lincoln, MA-next to Doherty’s garage (mobil station) and conveniently located near the commuter rail station. The place is pretty small-there are a few booths inside. I’ve actually never eaten here, I just order take out.

I can only speak about the chicken parmesan calzone. After going there once in high school, because a friend happened to be working there at the time, I was hooked on these calzones. I’ve never tried anything else here, even though they have an extensive menu. So-the calzone. Chicken parmesan inside (big pieces), gooey cheese and tomato sauce-I like them best when they are light (not well done). By far my favorite part is the the outside where the two sides have been pinched together-extra crust!

Definitely worth a stop in if you’re taking the train to Lincoln, stopping at Codman Farm or even Drumlin Farm.
