While everyone was clearing out of the city for the snowmageddon, and old cor-worker and I were meeting for dinner in Faneuil Hall. Missing the guacamole at Zocalo, which was by our old office, we head to Mija to see if/how their guacamole stands up. Not surprising, there are only about 12 other people here. […]

We had our holiday party at Anthem on a Thursday night. When we were looking for a venue (we were late to the game – we started after Thanksgiving!) I got a mass email from the events team (they outsource their event planning) saying that a day had opened up and the first person to […]

A cold day calls for soup, and in this instance, Ramen! A few coworkers and I run out to Wagamama to pick up some soup. I call ahead and am placed on hold for 5 minutes. I hang up and call back and my order is taken right away. When we head to the restaurant, […]

We decided to go to Anthem before the Faneuil Hall tree lighting. We arrived at 4:45pm, early bird dinner, I know! We recently moved from the Back Bay into Faneuil Hall. We’re excited to try out all the new restaurants in the area. Day 1 we go into the food court in search of lunch. We stop at the Walrus and Carpenter Oyster Bar for lobster rolls. The food court is a mad house – tourists […]

Located in the Quincy Market food hall, West End Strollers features Middle Eastern food. My coworker introduced me to “fingers” a delicious Middle Eastern pastry. At $2.90 per piece, they are pretty pricey, but they are pretty labor intensive to make. Fingers, or Asabi as they are also called, are made from thin phyllo like […]

I have to admit that I love these little 2 bite cookies the most when they are fresh out of the oven. No such luck this time, but bring them home and pop them in the microwave for a few seconds and they taste fresh baked. Here are the types of cookies: Traditional Chocolate Chip […]
