July 8, 2013 Landfall Restaurant
We were down at the Cape celebrating a special occasion. We tried to grab a table at the Glass Onion, but now that it is peak season, you can’t get a seat!
We head over to the Landfall Restaurant in Woods Hole. Located just around the corner from the ferry, parking can sometimes be tough. Not tonight.
The decor inside is certainly nautical with all sorts of things hanging from ceiling. It is pretty casual here, there are people in jeans – a lot of families are here as well.
The restaurant has the price of fine dining, but feels a little old school and maybe even a bit pub-like. Maybe that’s just “Cape” for you…
We sit in the middle of the restaurant, but everyone has a good view of the water.
For all the windows, it is a little dim inside.
Our waitress, Valerie was sweet and attentive.
We start with the lobster bisque.
The bread reminds me of how my mom used to make it. Garlic butter on Portuguese toast.
I order the baked stuffed lobster. There’s a lot of breading and it was a bit dry for my taste. ($36) For $36, I had hoped for more.
The steak tips. ($19)
The cheeseburger – it looks a little skimpy. ($12)
The salmon ($31).
The apple crisp ($7) was underwhelming.
The mud pie ($6) was pretty tasty, love the oreo crust.
A great way to end a nice day on the beach!
