Never heard of a java berry? Boy have you been missing out.

Located in Weston, MA, a suburb west of Boston, Dairy Joy has been supplying me with an ice cream fix for over 10 years. They offer soft serve ice cream, sundaes, burgers, and seafood. The food is a tad pricey, $6 for a burger and $38 for a large clam roll-and this place is cash only. I watched the guy in front of me yesterday drop $60 on food-and that isn’t even including ice cream!!

Show up on any warm summer day/night and you can expect a packed parking lot. If you can’t find a seat at one of the picnic tables, just grab a seat on the grass or in the back of your car.

This isn’t your average soft serve ice cream. Of course they offer the usual vanilla, chocolate, and twist varieties, but they also have java berry-raspberry sherbet with coffee soft serve, and creamsicle- orange sherbet with vanilla ice cream.

This is a small orange creamsicle. Just posting a picture of it makes me crave one! They don’t have sprinkles/jimmies here, they only have chocolate dip.
