About
Thanks for stopping by!
My friends call me D. I’m a native Bostonian that enjoys eating out and trying new places. I am on the quest for the perfect Bolognese, I love pasta and dessert and tend to avoid the veggies.
I used to work at an upscale French restaurant downtown, what seems to be a lifetime ago, so I can appreciate good quality and most importantly, good service.
I’m an amateur photographer, a die hard hockey fan (go terriers!), a dog lover who has a cat, and an avid traveler.
I’m a mom of three and they keep me pretty busy. I’m trying to write more on the blog, but you can always catch my day to day stuff on my Instagram account.
I’ve been blogging since 2010 and I’ve been the #1 blogger on Urbanspoon/Zomato since 2014. I work with the Good Ones as a media partner and am part of various blogger groups in Boston.
Feel free to shoot me an email at: dgrubsblog [at] gmail [dot] com, I’d love to hear from you!

Hi there,
just read your post about your recent trip to GCayman. Thanks for being so concise. I did have a question or two about the restaurants you tried and was wondering if can email you. I will be in GCayman in a few weeks, staying next to the Westin and just had a few quick questions. Also, I think I may have a suggestion of where to find that some amazing bolognese in Boston.
Best,
Alec

Hi there, I just came across your blog from the Boston Food Bloggers site and was curious if you’d be interested in writing about Mass Farmers Markets’ up coming 6th Annual Strawberry Dessert Festival June 7th through July 7th. I absolutely love your blog about food all over Boston and all over the country. I especially admire how you focus on local businesses around Boston. I also believe it is so important to focus on local businesses because I have found that’s where the excellent food around Boston is hidden. Have you heard of Coolidge Corner’s newest local business café called Knight Move Café? It is a board game café whose owner, Devon Trevelyan believes it is extremely important that local businesses support each other. Knight Moves’ fresh pastries are delivered daily from local bakeries around Boston. Can I send you more information about the pastries offered/cafe in general?
