October 22, 2015 The Cottage – Chestnut Hill
During the summer, my friend Caroline and I would meet up at the Cottage in Chestnut Hill for lunch. Such a great spot, I love everything about it. The bright and open space, the beach decor and the delicious food.
Caroline’s go to is the Stuffed Avocado tomato, lettuce, quinoa, basil citrus vinaigrette, choice tuna salad, chicken salad or 1/2 + 1/2 ($15). This salad is everything that I love – yes, I do realize that there are healthy things going on here… 😉
My favorite is the Maine Lobster Cobb bacon, boiled egg, tomato, blue cheese, avocado, lemon tarragon vinaigrette ($21). I always get feta instead of the blue cheese, just a personal preference. The amount of lobster on this salad is impressive and even though there is bacon here, it still feels light and dare I say it, healthy? While there is a decent lunch crowd here, we never have had a problem getting a table. I would however recommend reservations if you are planning on heading over there for dinner.
