A Little Bit About a Lot of Things

A lifestyle blog with a focus on my food adventures

ritz carlton philadelphiaThe Ritz Carlton is located in City Center, about a 20 minute ride (flat fee) from the airport.

IMG_0149The hotel is centrally located, close to local transportation, shopping and a wide variety of restaurants. The service was exactly what you would expect for a luxury hotel, check in/out was seamless, the doors were held open for you when you entered and exited the premises, and everyone was helpful and friendly.

IMG_0150The lobby is impressive (it was formerly a bank), where modern and classic collide – the dark wood and bright colors make for a sharp contrast against the tall white marble pillars.

IMG_0151 They have two places to dine on site, 10 Arts Lounge and 10 Arts Bistro. 10 Arts Lounge, pictured above is in the lobby and is open Monday – Sunday: 11 a.m. – 12 a.m. 10 Arts Bistro is a farm to table restaurant, open for breakfast lunch and dinner:

Breakfast:
Monday – Friday 6:30 a.m. – 11 a.m.
Saturday – Sunday 7 a.m. – 12 a.m.

Lunch:
Monday – Friday 11:30 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Dinner:
Tuesday – Saturday: 5:30 p.m. – 10 p.m.

IMG_0164I love the classic shoe shine chairs.

IMG_0147Check in is at 3pm and check out is at noon.

ritzThey have a simple but classic color palette.

IMG_0137The room was quite spacious and had great views of the city down below.

IMG_0136You could hear some noise from the city, but it wasn’t horrible – people letting their doors slam in your hallway was more bothersome.

IMG_0135One room had a spacious walk in shower.

IMG_0138The other had a shower/tub combo with a mirror on the wall (which I always find a bit disconcerting). Overall a really nice hotel, a good stay for the limited time we were in the actual hotel room. We were certainly go back and stay there again.
