A Little Bit About a Lot of Things

A lifestyle blog with a focus on my food adventures

IMG_1834We had heard from someone at dinner when we went to 2 Fools and a Bull that the Hyatt had warm donuts at brunch. Sold. We immediately made reservations. Turns out, that’s not true – no warm donuts to be found.

IMG_1853They Hyatt has a great property, very picturesque. Ruinas del Mar over looks a man made pool where a family of black swans live. They have a man singing and playing guitar while you eat, crooning slow jams from Extreme and Phil Collins.

IMG_1835No one is sitting outside, the few people here prefer the shade.

IMG_1836Breakfast will run you  $51 per person and allows you to sit for 2 hours.

IMG_1837The wait service seems to be on “island time”, even though there are three servers to help us, we can’t seem to get a cup of coffee or a refill on our  complimentary champagne/mimosa.

IMG_1838Creme Brulee.

IMG_1839A large assortment of salad.

IMG_1840They have someone making made to order omelette which was pretty delicious.

IMG_1841There are a large amount of cakes to choose from.

IMG_1842The “kids table” boasts candy covered cupcakes.

IMG_1843The kids table also has these fun cookies.

IMG_1844Desserts in Aruba are usually a bit of a miss for me, but we did our due diligence and tried a fair amount of them.

IMG_1845Everything is plated/presented nicely.

IMG_1846There is also a station with waffles, pizza, and pasta. If you look closely at the pizza on the left, you can see that there is still a label on the pepper with the barcode. All in all the brunch was ok – nothing to write home about. But we were on vacation and it was nice to eat in a restaurant with good scenery and gave us a break from our regular breakfast from Starbucks.
