Crush is a new pizza place that opened up down on State Street. Crush is a Nashua, NH based company and they took over the space that was formerly Upper Crust.

IMG_1510At Crush, you can choose from one of their specialty pizzas or you can create your own from a number of fresh ingredients. (Sorry, no slices) They stretch the dough and make the personal sized pizza right in front of you.

IMG_1509There are a few seats in the restaurant, and you should really try and eat it hot out of the oven, that’s how it tastes best!

IMG_1508The wood burning ovens can get up to 1000 degrees inside and they cook your pizza in about 60-90 seconds. Pretty amazing. Your pizza comes out bubbling and smoking!

IMG_1512I tried the Toscano, fire roasted garlic cream sauce, pan seared field mushrooms fresh mozzarella, fresh rosemary, pecorino romano, fresh oregano, with a drizzle of truffle oil.($10.95) Man oh man was this delicious. They are light on the cheese and the crust is crisp on the outside but has a good chew to it. The herbs definitely kick the pizza up a notch and who doesn’t love a drizzle of truffle oil right as it’s pulled out of the oven – magical! Can’t wait to try some of their other pizzas and their gelato.
