A Little Bit About a Lot of Things

A lifestyle blog with a focus on my food adventures

IMG_1322Located just a few minutes from the Ocean House, the Cooked Goose is a cute little restaurant where everyone seems to stops in.

IMG_1314The place was fairly crowded, we had to wait about 5 minutes for a seat, and throughout the whole meal, all the tables were full. They do have counter service and a great little living room area where you can wait for a table. The front area has a great area for you to order food to go.

IMG_1316The owner is in the house and greets regulars by name.

IMG_1317We order lunch, there are so many delicious sounding options, it’s hard to choose. CAPTAIN KIRK ($8.95) Basil & Cashew Chicken Salad with Avocado Spread, Lettuce, Tomato & Sprouts in a Spinach Wrap. The chicken salad was delicious, I love the flavor combinations!

IMG_1319We had the cinnamon scone for dessert.

IMG_1318We also had the W.H. 15 ($8.50) Ham, Swiss Cheese, Carmelized Onions, Lettuce, Tomato & Dijon Mustard on a Ciabatta Roll. Each sandwich came with a heaping pile of chips.

IMG_1320Our waitress said we simply couldn’t leave without trying the key lime pie, and boy am I glad we didn’t. It was really delicious, the crust was hand pressed and the key lime was tart and delicious, piled high with home made whipped cream! Yum!

IMG_1321We grabbed a cookie to go, since these sounded and looked so delicious!

IMG_1475The crunchy munch was indeed tasty! Chocolate chips, butterscotch, vanilla, pecans, coffee, graham crackers, oats pretzels and potato chips, oh my! The cookie was enormous, and it did not disappoint. The service was excellent, we would definitely go back and we highly recommend The Cooked Goose!
