A Little Bit About a Lot of Things

A lifestyle blog with a focus on my food adventures

Green Street Grill is on this dark side street that I swear we drove by about 6 times before we figured out it was the right place. I would make a reservation ahead of time, the place is packed and it is a neighborhood favorite. We get stuck at a two top and there are three of us. We order a Dark and Stormy ($7) and laugh off the situation. The drink nearly knocked me off my you know what. It’s the sign of a good drink, it doesn’t taste like it has any booze in it. I drank this baby in about 2.2 seconds and was certainly feeling it.

We started with the cheese plate ($12), nothing very fancy, one soft and one hard cheese with toast.

Homemade chips ($4) umm…need I say more? Ok, delicious, albeit a little salty,

Two of us have the cheeseburger ($11), two beef patties, Russian dressing, cole slaw, really tasty. A little bit on the messy side to eat, but that was our only complaint (if  you could even call it that).

I had the mac and cheese ($17) made with Grafton cheddar, tomato and bacon topped with bread crumbs. A little heavy on the sauce for me, but I found the tomato to be an interesting addition. The place was slammin’ by the time we got our entrees but the service remained consistent, which was great. From overhearing conversations, there were a lot of local neighborhood regulars there. You can see why, they have a great menu, it was quite unexpected. Wish they were in my neighborhood.
