A Little Bit About a Lot of Things

A lifestyle blog with a focus on my food adventures

I was on Facebook and a friend of mine told me about this site she uses, Pintrest. It is an internet pin-board/inspiration board- you join the site, download the pintrest bookmarking tool and any time you see something on the web, you can tag it and organize it by category. It would be great for planning a wedding or redecorating a room in your house. I saw this great photo on the website, posted by Bakergirl-her photos are amazing, and made me want to make the cookies on the spot.

Here’s her recipe:

2 sticks softened butter
3/4 packed brown sugar
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
10-ounce bag of chocolate chips
1 bag of Oreos, or about 24 Oreos (Jenny used Double Stuff in the original recipe, I used regular Oreos)

Preheat oven to 350°F. Cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until well combined. Add in eggs and vanilla until well combined.

In a separate bowl, mix the flour, salt, and baking soda. Slowly add to wet ingredients until just combined. Stir in chocolate chips. Using a cookie scoop, take one scoop of dough and place on top of an Oreo cookie. Take another scoop of dough and place on bottom of Oreo cookie. Seal edges together by pressing and cupping in hand until Oreo cookie is enclosed with dough.

Place onto a parchment-lined or greased baking sheet and bake cookies for 9-13 minutes or until cookes are baked to your liking. Let cool for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Let’s just say that these are deadly! They combine two of my favorite cookies-be careful, they’re addictive. Whip up a batch immediately, I promise, you won’t be disappointed!
