A Little Bit About a Lot of Things

A lifestyle blog with a focus on my food adventures

I came in again for some Easter chocolate and this place never disappoints me. See previous blog entry.

We start off with the milk praline poached eggs: 40% cocoa milk chocolate mini eggs filled with velvety smooth hazelnut praline. You bite into the chocolate outer shell to get to the smooth and creamy center. The flavor is so rich and flavorful. These are not your typical Easter egg chocolates! (Thank goodness at 202 calories per 3 pieces!)

Moving on to the “Blondie”: white chocolate slab with white and milk chocolate chunks, crispy cookies, and pecans. You would think that there are a lot of things going on in this bar-can it possibly be any good? Sometimes simple is better right? The flavors and textures in this bar go together seamlessly. The creamy white chocolate with the crunchy nuts, and a different kind of crunch coming from the ‘cookies’. They are like little cocoa puffs! YUM!

The caramel egg doodle. Caramel milk chocolate with crispies and drizzled colored white chocolate. The chocolate has a faint caramel taste to it, and I mean faint. You really have to let it dissolve slowly in your mouth to get that slight hint of caramel…and who are you fooling, you don’t want to wait that long for the chocolate pay off! I think that the chocolate was good-still creamy..but I think that there are better options at Hotel Chocolat.
